With sincere sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Mildred Boyd Norman who entered into rest on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11 am at the Paynes Baptist Church, Mesena, GA, Rev. Milton Neal, Pastor. The body will be placed in state beginning at 10 am until the hour of service. The interment will follow in the Society Cemetery in Mesena, GA. The visitation will begin on Friday from 12 noon to 7 pm.
She leaves to cherish her memories to: her husband, Roosevelt “Sport” Norman of Thomson, GA; her daughter, Juanita Boyd Appling of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Jamekia (Tobias) Jones and Justin CeJay (Martisha) Appling all of Thomson, GA; great-grandchildren, Traciona Tate-Jones, Jada Jones, Jazlyn Appling, Celeste Jones, Tra’Bias Jones, and Tramonie Jones all of Thomson, GA; stepchildren, Brenda Franklin of Chicago, IL, Willie Jones of Augusta, GA, Diane (John) Barnett, Leon Jones, Steven Jones, Annie (Wilbur) Hampton, and Gladys (Willie) Moss, all of Thomson, GA; Larry Norman, Mary (Stevenson) Young, Willie (Geraldine) Norman, Gloria Jones, and Annie (Tony) Battle, all of Warrenton, GA; a host of step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren; sisters, Margaree (Solomon) Wilson and Catherine (Reynolds) Few of Thomson, GA; brother, Royal Kendrick of Thomson, GA; sister-in-law, Erline (Franklin) Richarson of Washington, GA; special relatives including, Charles Ruff, of Detroit, MI, Michael (Michelle) Leverett of Memphis, TN and Mary Stanley of New York, NY; her legally adopted daughter, Ansley “Angie” Reece; her extended Wendy’s Restaurant family of Thomson, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends; two close friends of embracement, Missy Bell and Georgia Esther Neal, both of Thomson, GA.
