Mr. Joe Johnson

With Sincere Sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Joe Johnson who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his residence in Warrenton, Georgia. The Celebration of Life for Mr. Joe Johnson, age 68 of Warrenton, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2:30 pm at the Lithonia Baptist Church, Camak Georgia, Rev. Lyndon Heath, Pastor. The body will lie in state beginning at 1:30 pm until the hour of service. The Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing will begin on Tuesday from 11 am to 7 pm at the funeral home. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Gwen Johnson; two daughters, Angela and Ann Johnson; three grandsons, Lonnie Harris, Quodarius Collins, and Cortorius Collins; six granddaughters Treikia Harris, Tiandra Harris, Tynisha Harris, Leterea Hall, Takeisa Harris, and Tomeka Harris and eleven great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Betty Johnson, Ruby Johnson, Mary Lou Shorty, Stephanie Durham, Tenika Johnson, Adrian Johnson, Mamie Johnson, Bertha Monfort; four brothers, David Ingram, Jonny Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Darrell Johnson; sister and brother-in laws, Brenda Johnson, Ella (Furman) Kendrick, Vera (John) Bartie, Judy (Otis) Hudson, Cecilia (Willie) Ivey, Dense Schafer, June Reese, Mary (Henry) Smith, Leon (Cornelia) Reese, and Otis Reese; two special friends Robert “Pokey” Johnson and Wayne “Rock” Habersham, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral procession will leave the residence on Davis Street at 1:45 pm on Wednesday.
