Robert Lee “Jaws-Bae Bro” Crayton was born to the late Abraham & Rhody Wilson Crayton, Sr on April 27, 1940 in the Hancock County, Georgia. He departed this life on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Thomson Health & Rehabilitation Center in Thomson, Georgia..
He was affectionately known to many by the name “Jaws-Bae Bro”.
At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He later joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Sparta, Georgia. He was educated in the Hancock County Public School System. He retired from the Central State Prison after fifteen years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Abraham Crayton, Jr & Mary Crayton.
He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Lillie Mae (Ralph) Hill of Thomson; adopted daughters, Barbara Larkins & Tawanda Stevenson Walker; Grandchildren, Ernest Hatcher of Augusta, Georgia, Shanta Nichole (Bobby) Shy of Sparta, Georgia & Roy Hatcher, Jr, both of Sparta, Georgia, Kimberly (Christopher) Waller of Eatonton, Georgia, Sheena Victoria Ramsey of Thomson, Georgia & a host of great grandchildren & great- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews that he reared as his own, Dianna Crayton of Florida, Cassandra (Keith) Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia & Mary Crayton of Macon, Georgia; nephews, Clarence Crayton of Sparta, Georgia, Sammy Crayton of Milledgeville, Georgia & Michael (Christina) Crayton, Ricky Wilson & Rodney Crayton all of Atlanta, Georgia and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral procession will leave the residence of Mrs. Lillie Mae & Ralph Hill on Saturday at 9:30 am. Family & friends can contact the residence of his daughter, Lillie Mae & Ralph Hill or at the funeral home.
