Sylvester "Chuck" Ramsey

Mr. Sylvester “Chuck” Ramsey entered into rest on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Charlie Norwood Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 1 pm at the First Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Appling, Georgia. The body will lie in state beginning at 12 noon. The Burial will be in the First Mt Carmel Memorial Gardens and the Repast will follow immediately in the church’s fellowship hall. Viewing will begin Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 12 noon to 7 pm.

He is survived by his children, Quincy Ramsey & Sheena Ramsey both of Thomson, Georgia; grandson, Caleb Willis of Thomson, Georgia; a loving & devoted mother, Idell Ramsey of Appling, Georgia; two sisters, Ludell Ramsey of Appling, Georgia & Cassandra (Samuel) Duggan of Martinez, Georgia; five brothers, James (Adell) Ramsey of Grovetown, Georgia, Willie (Ruby) Ramsey of Appling, Georgia, Jim (Terri) Ramsey of Chesapeake, Virginia, Mike Paschal of Appling, Georgia & John Ramsey of Martinez, Georgia; god brother, Alvin(Patricia) Frails; five aunts, Essie Shanks, Isabella Ramsey, Pauline Cummings, Laura Cummings all of Appling, Georgia and Louise Crawford of Thomson, Georgia; two great aunts, Loreal Willingham & Mary Willingham both of Appling, Georgia; two uncles, Harold & Walter Cummings both of Appling, Georgia; a devoted niece & nephew, Latisha White of Augusta, Georgia & Zhivago Ramsey of Martinez, Georgia; three devoted friends,  Rodney Walker of Augusta, Georgia, John Dunn of Appling, Georgia & DeWayne Crowder of Thomson, Georgia and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Note: The funeral procession will leave the residence of his mother at 12:30 pm on Friday.
