Bennie Lee Bens

Mr. Bennie Lee Bens, age 71 of Warrenton, Georgia departed this life on February 16, 2019 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2 pm at the Ministry of Faith Christian Center, Rev. George Ivey, Pastor.

The body will lie in state beginning at 1 pm until the hour of service. The Interment will follow the funeral service in the Ministry of Faith Cemetery. The viewing will begin on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the funeral home from 11 am to 6 pm.

He had retired from the City of Warrenton. He leaves to cherish his memories; five step-children, Anthony (Bertha) Ivey of Warrenton, Georgia, Denise (William) Ivey of Thomson, Georgia, Alton (Sarah) Ivey of Seattle, Washington & LaKecia (Billy) Ivey of Thomson, Georgia & Gary (Niki) Ivey of Macon, Georgia and seventeen grandchildren; sister, Nina (Johnny) Roberts of Thomson, Georgia, who was like a mother to him; brother,  Bennie (Annie) Harris of Thomson, Georgia; three nieces, Anita Porter of Warrenton, Georgia, Mary Battle of Atlanta, Georgia and Mary (Clinton) Jenkins of Warrenton, Georgia; four nephews, William Porter of Warrenton, Georgia, Keith Harris & Kenneth (Melinda) Harris both of Thomson, Georgia and Larry Moss of Warrenton, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will leave the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Mary (Clinton) Jenkins at 1:30 pm on Sunday. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the D.T. Brown Memorial Home.
