Johnny Evans Taylor, affectionately known as "Jet," was born on April 28, 1942, in Thomson, Georgia, the son of Charlie Taylor and Mildred Moore. A man of warmth and purpose, Johnny devoted many years of his life to serving as a chef at a local nursing home — nourishing not only the bodies but the spirits of those in his care with every meal he prepared.
Johnny departed this life on May 4, 2026, at the age of 84. His spirit, heart, and the love he poured into everything he did will be remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
His loving and devoted will cherish his precious memories. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charlie Taylor. Please continue to keep his siblings, Freddie Taylor and Patricia Taylor, and his aunt, Daisy Wilson in your thoughts and prayers.
A man who fed others with his hands and warmed them with his heart.
Terry Funeral Home, Inc., 4203 Haveford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA is in charge of the arrangements. Phone: 215-222-2828
