With heartfelt and sincere sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Jerodus Allen, Sr., who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at The Doctors Hospital. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11 am at the Vanderhorst C.M.E. Church in Thomson, Georgia. The Body will lie in state beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday until the hour of the service at the church. The Interment will follow in the William Hill Memorial Cemetery. The Viewing will begin on Friday from 12 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 10:15 am on the day of the service.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of sixty-five years Flora Mae; one devoted son, Jerodus Allen Jr.; daughter in law, Deloris Hill of Thomson, GA; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Hill, Louvenia Hamilton both of Thomson, GA; a devoted niece, Mildred Harris of Thomson, GA; five grandchildren, Johnny Walker of Warrenton, GA, Michael Taylor and Katenia Battle both of Thomson, GA, Terrill Taylor of Washington, GA and Joseph (kwoni) Battle of Atlanta, GA; twelve great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; Pastor Rose Davis and Audrey Forderingham both of New York, Gerald Salley of New Jersey, Renee Halloway of the Bronx, New York, Darrell Currie of Maryland and Russell Currie of Queens, New York; a special love to the Simmons family of Springtown, South Carolina; a special friend, Jack McNeil of Athens, GA and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
