Mrs. Ella Bell (Boyd) Rogers

With heartfelt and sincere sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Ella Bell Boyd-Rogers, age 87 of Thomson, Georgia, who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 26, 2023 while at her residence. The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2 pm at the New Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church. The Interment will follow in The Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Viewing will begin on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 12 noon to 5 pm at the The New Hope Christian Church. 

Ella Bell was proceeded in death by her two beautiful daughters, Joann Rogers and Johnnie Mae Hobbs; nine siblings, Emma Pearl Kendrick-Lowe, Mary Francis White- Shelley, and Ethelree Boyd-Crowder, Marian Kendrick, Leonard Boyd, Clennon Boyd, Madison Boyd Jr., JB Boyd, and Truman Boyd.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; five children, Annie (Bennie) Harris, Brenda Stokes, Elizabeth (Robert) Rivers all of Thomson Georgia & Lillie (Charles) Cummings of Dearing, Georgia & Pastor Luther (Lavern) Rogers, of Augusta, Georgia; son-in-law, Timothy Hobbs of Grovetown, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Emma Boyd of Thomson, Georgia, and Shirley Boyd of Salisbury, Maryland; brother-in-law, Lee Frazier Crowder of Thomson, Georgia; twenty four grandchildren, sixty-two great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-love,  Elise Reed and Virginia Anderson; god son, Wayland (Natasha) Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
