With heartfelt and sincere sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Estelle Walker Battle of Warrenton, Georgia, and who entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 5, 2023. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Warrenton, Georgia. The Interment will follow in the Society Cemetery. The Body will lie in state beginning at 1:00 pm at the church. The Viewing will begin on Friday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home and then on Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 am. The Repast will follow the burial at the residence, 237 Silverside Drive Warrenton, Georgia.
Her memory will always be cherished and held in the hearts of those that remain: two daughters, Blanch (Fred) Mathis of Warrenton, GA, and Darnell (James) Myrick of Warrenton, GA; three sons, Billy (Belinda) Walker of Rochester, NY, William (Sara) Walker of Camak, GA, and Willie James Battle of omson, GA; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Jannie Mae Walker of Warrenton, GA, Elizabeth (James) Lowe of Warrenton, GA, and Ruthie Mae Walker of Eastland, SC; three brothers, Earnest (Revera) Walker, Jr., of Rochester, NY, Willie C. (Sarah) Walker of Rochester, NY, and Eddie H. Walker of Mesena, GA; aunt, Ammie Mae Ashford of Rochester, NY; uncle, Wayman (Barbara) Jones of Rochester, NY; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, which include her special “trash talking” nephew, Rick Walker.
