Mrs. Evelyn Hawthorne

With heartfelt and sincere sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Evelyn Hawthorne of 141 Plum Street in Haddock, Georgia formally of Thomson, Georgia, who entered into eternal rest on July 5, 2022. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:00 am  at the Greater Jordan Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 1415 GA-22 East in Haddock, Georgia. She was the Salutatorian of the R. L. Norris Class of 1965. She was was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny Boy Shank & Helen Hawthorne & her grandmother, Amy Cartledge.  She is survived by her cousins, Amy Lee Benson of Thomson, Georgia and Vernon Thomas, Sr., of Appling, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends.
