Rev. Thelma Corrine Carter Obituary
Reverend Thelma Carter, age 79, of 7 Queens Street, Fountain Inn, passed away, Monday, February 13, 2023 at her home. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Odell Wharton and Macie Foggie Wharton. She is survived by two son, Ray Wharton and George Carter; three daughters, Teresa Rogers, Bridgette Richard and Tonya Carter; four brothers, Billy Wharton, Douglas Wharton, Randy Joe Wharton and Harold Wharton; five sisters, Anita Cummings of Thomson, Clara Kilgore, Macie Charlene Reeder, Agnes Copeland & Delores Caldwell ; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Mt. Carmel AME Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
There will be a viewing and visitation promptly before the service, at the church, from 12 Noon until 1 p.m.
